The Phoenix Suns are off to a flying start this season with 4 wins out of 5 games. Now, they host the Portland Trail Blazers in the first of their three back-to-back home games. Both teams have fairly healthy rosters, apart from Suns’ Bradley Beal, who’s been on the injury list, but some interesting news has surfaced before tonight’s game. He missed the last game for the Phoenix side when they faced the LA Clippers because of a right elbow sprain and is optimistic ahead of tonight’s matchup against the Trail Blazers.

The hooper said that he was feeling a lot better and answered the reporter’s question about his injury, “Hopefully will be able to go tonight,” then adding, “That’s the game plan,” as he gears up to return for some action on the court.

So far this season Beal has only played against the LA-based teams and fared pretty well in the 3 games he’s played. He is currently averaging 18 points, which is quite good, slightly lower than his average last season, but he will have to stay fit to contribute more and could do so tonight, as he looks to get back on the court. He has been a complementary scoring option for the Phoenix side, but they haven’t missed a beat when he’s been absent.

Kevin Durant and Devin Booker have led the scoring charge, averaging 26.8 and 26.4 points, respectively. Bradley Beal is third on the list and whenever he’s present, Mike Budenholzer has turned to Tyus Jones as a fill-in starter. Now that we know all that’s available on Bradley Beal, let’s further take a closer look at the injury reports before the clash.

Phoenix Suns Injury Report

The Suns only had Bradley Beal (still listed as day-to-day) and Josh Okogie on their injury report. Now, Beal himself has said he is looking to play tonight’s game and the 26-year-old Okogie (hamstring) also gets the green light. So, KD and Co. have a fully available roster for tonight!

Portland Trail Blazers Injury Report

Anfernee Simons could miss tonight’s game after he left the court on Friday. In the fourth quarter, the hooper landed awkwardly on a dunk attempt and did not return. Then we have Robert Williams III, who did not play Friday’s game because of a hamstring injury.

Shaedon Sharpe is out with a shoulder injury, followed by Matisse Thybulle on the list. Both are sidelined, the former with a left shoulder posterior labral tear and the latter with a knee injury, who underwent a procedure to address the inflammation. He’s set to be out for the next two to three weeks. Robert Williams III is also deemed out for the game because of a hamstring strain.

Ultimately, tonight’s game will be difficult for the Trail Blazers and it could get even tougher if Anfernee Simons misses out. On the other hand, the Suns should have a comfortable upper hand as they have Kevin Durant and Devin Booker who’re in great form, and by the looks of it, Beal will also join them, making it more troublesome for Portland. Plus, they will also have a home crowd behind them.
