Injuries, injuries, injuries! That’s all the OKC Thunder had to endure this season. But as Christmas arrived, so did a much-needed blessing. After spending almost two months on the sidelines, Jaylin Williams is finally expected to make his debut on Monday. His name was removed from the injury report, bringing a sigh of relief to the team.
Not that the Thunder have been struggling without Jaylin Williams. In fact, they’ve been in their best form, holding a 22-5 record and sitting comfortably at the top of the Western Conference table. However, the 22-year-old’s return will undoubtedly add a new spark to the squad. Jaylin Williams sustained a hamstring strain during training camp, which has kept him from participating in games. So, this is the perfect time for him to shine, as the team will be facing the Wizards tonight.
Despite having a solid roster on paper, the Wizards have struggled to find success and are at the bottom of the East with a 4-22 record. Clearly, the East vs. West matchup heavily favors the Thunder, but nothing is certain in basketball.

Without further ado, let’s dive in to see who won’t be making an appearance in this clash.
Thunder vs. Wizards injury report
First on the Thunder’s list is Chet Holmgren, who has been sidelined since November 10 following a significant injury against the Warriors. The 7-foot-1 power forward fractured his right iliac hip and will remain out until further evaluation. Next on the list is Nikola Topic, who underwent a season-ending left ACL surgery this summer. So, the team had to plan their strategies without him in the picture. Meanwhile, Alex Ducas is dealing with a back sprain, and Adam Flagler is recovering from a fourth metacarpal fracture. As of now, there are no specific return dates for them.
On the flip side, the Wizards will be without their star, Kyle Kuzma. The combo forward will miss his 10th consecutive game due to a sprained left rib. Saddiq Bey will remain out because of his torn ACL, which restricted him from appearing this regular season. The only player with a slim chance of making it tonight from the injury list is Bilal Coulibaly. The French guard is listed as questionable, as per ESPN, and is recovering from a groin injury.
Now that we know who won’t be in tonight’s lineup, let’s take a look at their possible rotation.
