George, the nine-time All-Star, suffered this injury in the preseason playing against the Atlanta Hawks. Before the injury, George averaged 15.5 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists in the 2 games he played for his new team.

Philadelphia 76ers Injury Report

Alongside George, there is only Joel Embiid who is on the injury list for the Sixers. Embiid did not play any games in their preseason run due to what the Sixers are calling left knee injury management. Ahead of the opening game, it was announced that he would miss this week’s action including all three games after which he will be re-evaluated.

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the NBA is set to investigate the 76ers over Joel Embiid’s player participation. It is normal for the NBA to investigate teams over player participation if a superstar misses a nationally televised game. The Sixers released a statement for Embiid saying he is “responding well to his individualized plan” and will return to playing activities soon.

Caleb Martin is also questionable for the game against the Raptors due to a right calf contusion. He started the game and played 34 minutes scoring 11 points, 5 rebounds, and had 4 assists. He has now been removed from the injury list.
