“I feel like we can. So just wait and see,” Stephen Curry confidently stated after the Warriors suffered a 51-point blowout against the Grizzlies on Thursday. It wasn’t their night, but a deficit like that is an embarrassment for the Warriors, who started the season with a 12-3 record and have since slipped to 14-12. But not to worry, they would be facing a Western rival who has been going through the same journey.

It’s the Minnesota Timberwolves with the same record. Both teams have lost their aces, Klay Thompson and Karl-Anthony Towns, in the summer and haven’t looked in better shape without them. Nevertheless, the Timberwolves will welcome the Warriors to the Target Center on Saturday night for what promises to be a fierce battle. Both sides are coming off losses in their previous games and will look to compensate for it tonight. Stephen Curry will certainly suit up to lead his Warriors squad into Minnesota, but let’s find out who won’t be attending the game.

Warriors vs Timberwolves injury report

Fortunately, neither team is dealing with a long list of injuries. For the Warriors, Moses Moody is the only player on the injury report. The 6-foot-5 guard has been dealing with a left knee patellar tendinopathy and was last spotted three games ago against the Timberwolves. The Dubs have listed Moody as probable for tonight’s matchup as of now. His status will be finalized by the franchise before the game.

Meanwhile, Minnesota has ruled out Joe Ingles for Saturday’s game, according to ESPN. The Australian swingman has missed a chunk of games because of a left soleus strain. However, his absence is unlikely to have a major impact on the roster as he’s not a regular. With that in mind, let’s take a closer look at the depth charts of both teams to get a brief idea of who could be suiting up for this Western Conference clash.

Will Stephen Curry and Co. be able to beat the Timberwolves?

There’s no definitive answer to whether the Warriors can defeat the Timberwolves, but it’s certainly not impossible. After all, the Warriors were dominant in their last meet-up. While the Timberwolves secured three wins over the Warriors last season, historically, Golden State still leads with 75 victories compared to Minnesota’s 57. So, the chances cannot be dismissed.

Though the Warriors may not be the powerhouse they once were, they still have their resilient leader, Stephen Curry, guiding them. His experience and offensive brilliance undoubtedly remain invaluable to the team. His averages of 22 points, 5 rebounds, and 6.4 assists might not seem threatening, but knowing Curry, he simply cannot be underestimated. And after his worst game against the Grizzlies, he’ll definitely be eager to showcase his brilliance tonight.

Moreover, the Warriors know they need to utilize Draymond Green effectively on offense against the Timberwolves. At least, that strategy helped them turn the tables in their last matchup. Green should be able to handle Rudy Gobert but without repeating last season’s physical drama, of course.

However, holding back Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle will be a difficult challenge for Curry and Co. Both of them have been scoring 20+ points in almost every game. On the flip side, the Warriors have already faced three consecutive losses. So, head coach Steve Kerr will need to prepare his team well to ensure they bounce back, otherwise, they’ll be in deep water. But will the Warriors be able to take on the Timberwolves after their disastrous Thursday night? Don’t forget to catch up with the drama at 8 PM ET as this clash is sure to be a nail-biter.
