A veteran shooting guard for the Las Vegas Aces and a member of the championship-winning team has just been detained on felony domestic assault accusations and is currently involved in a court dispute. Authorities claim that her spouse is the victim of domestic abuse and the player is facing 9 charges.

The athlete worth $5 million was granted release from custody without posting bond, but only under tight terms. She is to have no contact with the alleged victim. Furthermore, she must submit to alcohol monitoring up until her upcoming court date of August 2. Following the court charges, she received a tough verdict from her franchise.

The team released a statement acknowledging her arrest and denounced domestic abuse. It stated that she is “precluded from participating in team activities.” Following the decision, she will miss out on the upcoming game in Dallas on Sunday. However, she has much bigger trouble awaiting her.

According to court records, the athlete received charges for nine felonies. This includes charges for domestic violence by strangling, coercion with the threat or use of physical force, and assault with a weapon. She also faces charges for four misdemeanor domestic battery charges.

However, at this point, her battery charges have taken center stage. Williams initially appeared handcuffed and silently behind security glass in the Las Vegas Justice Court, awaiting the court’s proceedings.

She has lived in Nevada for five years, according to her public attorney Ryan Bashor. According to reports, the attorney also advised the judge not to worry about a no-contact order. The victim of her abuse has either moved or is in the midst of doing so.
