Apart from closely following soccer and superstar Neymar Jr., tennis is another sport that is liked by the 2023 Eastern Conference Finals MVP. In fact, he is a follower of two of the biggest names in the sport currently.

Interestingly, it looks like Butler has found an interest in another sport which is doing the rounds on the internet currently. Taking to Instagram, the Heat star gave his thoughts on that.

Jimmy Butler confused by viral new sport

Padel has taken over the internet for the past few days. It is an interesting mixture of squash and tennis and thanks to its intense and high-speed gameplay; the game is a fan favorite.

It looks like even Butler is jumping on the hype train. Taking to his Instagram story, the 6-time NBA All-Star shared a video of Spanish player Javi Garrido, who is the current world champion of the sport. “What in the fudge is this”, wrote Butler. While Garrido is currently the world champion, the NBA star wishes to reach his position someday. However, he wants to be the number 1 ranked player in another sport.

Hours before sharing his thoughts on padel, Butler posted a series of photos while playing tennis. “I’m ready to be on the world rankings list. I would like to be ranked number one. thanks in advance”, read his Instagram caption.

Butler was busy with tennis during the offseason

Spanish wonderkid, Carlos Alcaraz, has taken the tennis world by storm. A few months ago, Butler met the tennis star in Buenos Aires ahead of the Argentina Open. He also met the Spanish star during the recently concluded US Open.

Not only Alcaraz, but the Heat star is also a huge fan of Coco Gauff, the 19-year-old US Open champion. He was spotted in the stands when Gauff advanced to the US Open quarterfinals. “I want her to win every single time, nothing against anybody else, but I’m a Coco fan”, said the NBA star. His prophecy came true as Gauff won the US Open title while millions of fans around the world witnessed her greatness.
