Recently, an 8x All-Star unveiled what it is like to guard King James. What many don’t realize is the might of his presence. The kid from Akron stands at 6’9 and weighs around 250 lbs. Recalling his experience of being taken down by LeBron, the 33-year-old said that it’s unlike anyone he’s ever faced.

Very few athletes have the ability to dominate their sport for as long as LeBron has. He is currently the oldest player in the league, taking part in his 21st season. He has managed to keep his game to the highest of standards despite all the age factors. Even today, the 38-year-old is at the top of his game and is still a problem for his opponents. Over the years, LeBron has given fans countless highlight reel moments. However, it is very different for the athletes facing him on the hardwood. On the recent episode of Podcast P, Paul George detailed the fear that the LA Lakers superstar instills in his opponents. George said facing LeBron when he’s playing the “bully ball” was frightening. He said that when he is taking charge against you, “You gotta back pedal”.

As per the 8x All-Star, even preparing for that contact against LeBron is a unique experience because the speed with which he approaches is sometimes too much to endure.

The Lakers this season

At the very beginning of the new season festivities, LeBron announced that this time, Anthony Davis will be the face of the franchise. At the time, it made a lot of sense because the 38-year-old will need some freedom and it is time for someone else to be in a commanding position. However, as the games have gone by, LeBron is still the difference maker in the team. Every other game he has been churning out numbers, trying to benefit his team.

However, the collective efforts seem to be falling short as the Lakers have a 50-50 win percentage as of now. From here, the team needs to regroup to give themselves a great chance for the title.
