The hell broke loose when he was first seen waving a gun in an Instagram live video during the NBA season that led to him receiving an 8 game suspension. After Shaquille O’Neal, Ja Morant gets a reality check

Shaquille O’Neal was one of the most dominant centers in his prime. The Big Aristotle retired as one of the most accomplished players of his generation. However, “Shaq Diesel” has taken up several interesting endeavors post retirement. Whether it is starring in NBA on TNT or having thousands of people dance to his tunes as a DJ, O’Neal has proved that he is a master of many trades. Recently, “Superman” released a music video, rapping a new song in a Home Depot store. However, this was met with heavy criticism from the $10M worth DJ.

DJ Akademiks dismissed DJ Diesel’s music video as a “Home Depot promo”. And now, the DJ has trained his guns at Ja Morant.

In a recent interview, DJ Akademics was asked his opinion about the 2 time All Star. “Let me tell you how stupid Ja Morant is,” he said. “NBA YoungBoy’s new contract is like $40M, to record like five albums. You lost $40M trying to be like NBA YoungBoy. He need to record like five albums to get the money you just lost“.

DJ Akademiks also stated how Morant could have avoided this fiasco. “Here’s my thing, you love NBA YoungBoy so much, bro just book him into a concert at your crib, or you go to his crib” he exclaimed.

Ja Morant started off the 2023 season as a strong MVP candidate. After making it to the Western Conference Semifinals the previous season, a lot was expected from the 23 year old. The Memphis Grizzlies were also having a terrific season holding onto the second seed in the Western Conference. However, his antics off the court put the future of the Grizzlies in danger including his own career.

Despite having an All Star season, Morant’s efforts last season could not take the Grizzlies past the seventh seeded Los Angeles Lakers. After being eliminated in the very first round, the Grizzlies knew they had to make some major changes. However, with Morant’s actions off the court, the Grizzlies had a bigger cause for concern.
