The New York Knicks have been one of the standout teams of the 2023/24 season, with Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart playing pivotal roles in their success. The two Knicks stars’ relationship dates back to their college days, when they played for the Villanova Wildcats. Both have remained friends ever since and have recently released a new podcast called the Roommates Show.
During the very first episode of the podcast, the fans got a glimpse into the team dynamics of the Knicks. Moreover, Jalen Brunson exposed Josh Hart’s antics during his college years with the Villanova Wildcats. Brunson called out Hart for bullying his teammates Mikal Bridges and Ryan Arcidiacono. He said, “He’s like a dog. He has to claim his territory. He was a bully to Mikal (Bridges), bullied me. You tortured Ryan, you didn’t bully Ryan because Ryan was older.”

After Brunson’s surprising revelation about Hart’s temper, Josh acknowledged that he was kind of a hothead during his college years. But despite some scuffles during practice, the 2015-16 Villanova Wildcats are regarded as one of the best college teams. The Wildcats had several future NBA stars, such as Brunson, Hart, Donte DiVincenzo, Mikal Bridges and Ryan Arcidiacono.
The Wildcats completely dominated the 2015-16 season, entering March Madness with a 29-5 record. However, it was in March Madness that their legacy was cemented. On their way to the finals, the Wildcats defeated 10th seeded Miami Hurricanes, 1st seeded Kansas Jayhawks and 7th seeded Oklahoma Sooners. Their journey culminated in a thrilling NCAA Championship Game against North Carolina, where Kris Jenkins sealed their victory with a buzzer-beating three-pointer, securing a 77-74 win. While Brunson and Hart formed a successful duo in college basketball, will their partnership help lead the Knicks to success on the NBA stage?
