Tonight, the NBA world witnessed one of the most interesting contests of the season. The 7 ‘4 towering Victor Wembanyama went up against the well-built dominant Zion Williamson. The duo put up some interesting plays near the paint, leaving the rest in awe. On the other hand, the New Orleans Pelicans coach Willie Green himself spoke about the marvelous act on the court after the game.

Following the hard-fought 114-113 win over the Spurs, Green addressed the press conference. Speaking of the Zion-Wemby contest, he said, “Just incredible to watch [Zion and Wemby] go to battle tonight.”

Just like the audience in the arena, Green was nothing short of praises for the two rising stars of the league. Even though Victor Wembanyama was a threat to his team’s victory tonight, the French baller left the Pelicans coach floored with his ability.

Speaking of him in the press conference, Green said, “We don’t take it for granted to see Victor up close. His size, his ability to handle the ball, to block shots, to shoot. It’s incredible to watch.”

On the other hand, he didn’t give up on his own star as well. Zion Williamson has pulled himself out of the plaguing injury and fitness issues. He had a lot of eyes set on him, stepping into the season. Importantly, he was constantly trolled for losing his shape and putting on weight during his injury rehab. However, he broke all the shackles and came back stronger.

Speaking of Zion, Green said, “We have Zion, who is a physical force. Can handle the ball in the perimeter, can make plays like point guard, can go up and finish.”

Even though Zion came into the league three years before Wemby, he still has a lot to prove. Just like the French baller, Zion came into the league with a lot of hype. In fact, he even lived up to the hype with his dominant performances near the rim.

But he didn’t last long, as he succumbed to constant injuries. Meanwhile, in this season, Williamson seemed to have got his footing right. And the battle of the rising star has officially begun after tonight’s game.

“If you don't fall how are you going to know what getting up is like." - Reading this, it’d be pretty much evident how much I love and am in awe of Stephen Curry. His Warrior spirit flows right in my veins.
