After supporting the Dallas Cowboys for years, LeBron James has switched his allegiance to his hometown NFL team. This snub came on the heels of the organization, restricting the players from exercising their freedom. While his love for the Cleveland Browns is new, it is not a surprise why he would choose them as his favorite. The Ohio native spent the better half of his career playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers, ending their championship drought.

However, a few days after jumping ship, he was spotted making a surprise appearance at the SoFI stadium to watch the Dallas Cowboys take on the Los Angeles Chargers. But it looks like he is still loyal to his hometown NFL team. The Akron Hammer is once again extending his support to Cleveland ahead of Week 7 of the NFL season.

LeBron James confirms his devotion to his NFL team

LeBron James’ love for the sport of football is evident through his recent social media activity. He is constantly making predictions and offering insights regarding the latest happenings in the NFL. James played football in high school for two seasons before he eventually chose basketball as his career. But his love for football did not fade. Besides betting on his favorite teams, King James gets his fix of football, mostly from playing Madden.

The Cleveland Browns will lock horns with the Indianapolis Colts on October 22nd at Lucas Oil Stadium. Ahead of the thrilling matchup, the Lakers star endorsed the Browns during a simulation game on Madden. He posted a snapshot of his TV screen where he chose the Browns as his team and the Colts as the opponents. He captioned the story as, “Prepping for this week opponents @clevelandbrowns! LFG 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️”.

Just hours before reaffirming his loyalty to his NFL team, James congratulated the Browns on achieving a significant feat.

Recently, the Cleveland Browns surpassed the long-standing record that hasn’t been broken in over 50 years. They only allowed 1002 yards through a five-game stretch, the fewest since 1971 when the Colts conceded 836 yards through five games. The Chosen One made sure to not miss this opportunity to celebrate with his favorite NFL team, as he took to Instagram to celebrate the success. He reshared the Browns’ post on his story with a series of “😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤” emojis.
