The Minnesota Timberwolves arrive in Denver to take on Nikola Jokic’s Nuggets, on Tuesday. In their last game, Minnesota saw the likes of Naz Reid and Donte DiVincenzo ejected, alongside assistant coach Pablo Prigioni. Things almost turned into a brawl after Reid was followed, and the ensuing brawl went on until it was interrupted by the officials.
Regardless, the heat will undoubtedly carry over to the visit to Ball Arena, and it should. Timberwolves are 7th in the West, just a game behind the Golden State Warriors, with the 5th-place Grizzlies also within reach. Fortunately, the Timberwolves are looking good on the injury front and have all of their major stars fit and firing for this crucial matchup.
Both Julius Randle and Anthony Edwards are fit and firing, and are expected to start. The only concern Minnesota are dealing with is in the form of Terrence Shannon Jr., who has been ruled out due to a groin injury. However, all is not going to be smooth sailing for Denver.

The Nuggets most prominently be without Jamal Murray for this one. Murray has been listed as day-to-day, according to ESPN, and missed the team’s cruising victory against the Utah Jazz. However, he participated in practice on Monday, and may as well play a role. Christian Braun (foot) and Nikola Jokic (ankle) are both listed as probables, while Aaron Gordon (illness/calf) is questionable. Meanwhile, Julian Strawther (knee) remains out for at least four more weeks. DaRon Holmes II (Achilles) continues his recovery but has begun participating in some portions of practice.
Nikola Jokic has also missed five games this month due to a niggling ankle injury. However, he has been in prime form, reinstating calls for his fourth MVP title in recent games. He has scored 68 points in the last two games and will be looking for another win. The Nuggets (47-28) are third in the West, and will have their eyes on the 49-27 Houston Rockets.
Timberwolves’ depth chart
The Timberwolves will have all of their stars available for the big game. They come into this game hoping to make a hattrick of wins, and should line up the exact same manner as they did against the Detroit Pistons.
