Dame Dash Explains How Kanye West Caught Up With Michael Jordan to Become a Billionaire From His Yeezy Brand

The rise of Kanye West as one of the greatest cultural icons of our time has been phenomenal. Alongside Michael Jordan and Michael Jackson, Kanye has also been considered as one of the greatest black celebs of all time. Furthermore, his rise as one of the richest artists has taken people by surprise.

Dame Dash tells how West rose to fame. Dash is the co-founder of Roc-A-Fella Records, and he was one of the few people alongside Jay Z, who discovered Kanye West.

Dash identified West as a young producer and West released several songs under the record name. Dash says West was the one who made it big, as he listened to him. He also says the Yeezy’s helped West reach Michael Jordan‘s level.

Dame Dash makes a remark comparing Michael Jordan and Michael Jackson

Dame Dash was recently on the Club Shay Shay podcast with Shannon Sharpe. During the interview, he talked about how Kanye West’s incredible rise. He was asked if he expected Kanye West to grow into an icon. Dash says ” No, not at all. I never expected that in a billion years… I didn’t expect it… And I expected other people in my crew to be Kanye… The reason why it was him, its because he had the most respect for me.”

He also talked about how Yeezy became popular, despite coming to the market years after the Jordan Brand. Dash adds ” Jordan didn’t make music. Jordan was known for playing good basketball. Kanye is known for something completely different. If Michael Jackson had sneakers and they were designed well, he would’ve made more money than Michael Jordan.”

Dash also adds that Kanye branched out, and he did not just stick to one thing. He says he thought Kanye that, and many other so that they grow in life.

Kanye West has multiple investments, and he is considered to be one of the greatest rappers of all time. His albums have shattered record after record. And his investments have turned into billions.
