Every young star believes that they are the best. Some even go as far as to say that they can beat His Airness, Michael Jordan. And that is exactly what Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant said, and he was absolutely destroyed by the Bulls Legend’s biggest fan.
There’s no doubt that Ja Morant has ridiculous confidence. After a historic season that was only cut down due to injury, Morant sat down for an interview. And he showcased how confident he was as he said that he would have cooked MJ if they faced one on one.
Ja said, “I wish I would’ve played in his generation, though. Just how he go about the game, just that mindset he had… I would like to play against him. I would’ve cooked him, too. Nobody got more confidence than 12. I’m never gonna go and say nobody gon’ beat me in one-on-one or anything.”

You have to live Ja’s confidence. The young star is coming off his best season yet with averages of 27.4 points, 6.7 assists, and 5.7 rebounds while shooting over 34% from three. And he was named the Most Improved Player for this season as well. The Grizzlies also locked him up with a five-year, $193 million contract extension.
It’s great to be confident, but we are talking about Jordan. He is arguably the GOAT and probably the best one-on-one player to ever touch the hardwood. And his biggest fan, Skip Bayless, destroyed Morant for his comments.

Skip, who is known to be a huge Jordan fan, could not believe what Morant was saying. He said, “As much as I try and love this still young man… I don’t just hate these remarks, I despise them… Maybe you cook for Michael Jordan, but you’re not cooking Jordan.”
