Following the incident, NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal gave his insight when the matter was brought up by his podcast co-host Nischelle Turner. 1 Month Before Shaquille O’Neal’s Marriage Proposal, Gorgeous Rapper GloRilla Went “Damn, What the Fu*k” at His DM

Recalling an incident of his own, Shaq said, “These kids, they’re jamming, they’re relieving stress, they’re jumping up and down, they’re having a good time and all it takes is one person to fall actually, right? And then everybody’s trying to get to the front and everybody’s trying to jam. You know you can’t blame it on security, you can’t blame on the venue, you can’t blame it on the artists. You just have to be really really careful.”

Furthermore, he added, “I wish I had a definite blueprint on how do you prevent that. My condolences goes out to the family. I’ve seen crowds when I meet as a DJ, but I’ve seen crowds of half a million people. I don’t know how to prevent that.”

Is the Big Aristotle ready to settle down?

Less than a month before the tragic incident, Shaquille O’Neal had sent out a marriage proposal to Gloria Hallelujah Woods, popularly known as GloRilla. It was during an episode of the Shaq podcast when the Lakers legend made his feeling known following a question asked by his co-host Turner.
