Looking at LeBron James today, he is a billionaire and one of the most successful athletes. However, he started off really humble. James was just a kid from Akron, who had to work his way up. He had just his mother and never knew his biological father. Hence, the King knew the struggles and the importance of education. So he took it to himself to start the I Promise School for the less fortunate children. And now he is set to receive a big donation from his good friend.
While LeBron is one of the highest-paid players, he always gives back. With his hometown of Cleveland, James has helped out a lot. Especially with the city of Akron. The Akron Hammer has done his job in improving the city. Most notably, the I Promise School helps children and adults understand the importance of education.

James started the initiative of the I Promise School back in July 2018. He opened the school to 240 students of grades third and fourth. In addition, the school also offers free meals and tuition for the students. And after they graduate from high school, the students are bound to receive full tuition at the University of Akron. This initiative has helped countless children since then, as LeBron James made it his mission to secure the future of the youth.
