This year’s draft had a wide range of talent. A draft class with the best players, all worthy of being the top pick in the NBA draft. However, the honor went to Paolo Banchero. The Duke star had a season of wonder with Duke as he became one of the best players in the country. However, the rookie got an unforgettable welcome from a budding superstar. Newly traded Dejounte Murray showed the number 1 pick what he has gotten himself into.

Murray was one of the most promising young talents in San Antonio. Growing under the most successful coach, the All-Star guard has developed tremendously. This season was a breakout that put him in conversation for the best two-way player. Surpassing his career high in all major stats, the star got his first All-Star game call-up. Now, after giving his all with Coach Pop, he made his move to the Atlanta Hawks. The offseason swap shook the league’s core. Two top young stars are charged up to see the Hawks fly once again.

Murray is ready for the NBA season

Facing off against promising talent, Murray left the number one pick clueless.
