In today’s age, texting has become an important form of communication. Almost everyone uses their devices to text someone and there are very few who do not. And interestingly, NBA legend Dennis Rodman is one of them. He doesn’t even have a smartphone. What’s more astonishing is that, he has never texted anyone in his entire life, not even his former teammate Michael Jordan.
Rodman has one of the most unique personalities in NBA history. He was a Hall of Fame player on the court and one of the wildest personas off the court. In fact, he is one of the few American celebrities who have visited North Korea. Furthermore, he is actually friends with the Supreme Leader of North Korea, Kim Jong-un. The FBI was put on notice when Rodman visited North Korea. As it turns out, they even reportedly wanted him to be an informant for them.

And this is one of the reasons why Dennis Rodman doesn’t have a smartphone. Because he believes that Federal agencies still try to keep track of his phones because of his supposed ties with North Korea and its leader.
Dennis Rodman has a flip phone and never texts anyone including Michael Jordan
Rodman was interviewed in his own bar once, and he was asked to show his phone. He admitted that he has a flip phone, and he liked it old school. Furthermore, he also revealed why he has a flip phone.
“It’s easy to dial and I don’t text anyone in the world. Never in my life,” Rodman stated.
When he was asked why he doesn’t text, he declared,” One, I’m too lazy, two, I just don’t want to do it, three, I don’t want my business out there all the time. So it’s like, hey why not? I’m Already Famous, What the F**k”
He further added that if he wants to talk to anyone, he will just call them up. And he is not interested in texting anymore.

It is very rare to see one of the most popular athletes not having a smartphone. It’s common to see athletes without social media. However, not having a smartphone or a carrying a flip phone is a rare sight for any individual.
