Basketball is open for all to play. Even the biggest of the stars. In the world of music, Drake has his own basketball league. And the record-breaking won his second straight SBL league. After the game, he gave credit to the late Kobe Bryant as he adapted his mentality. However, fans gave him the joking end of their wrath.

Drake is one of the rappers who is always present at NBA games. It was evident in 2019 when he was behind the Raptors in the playoffs.

And manifesting his inner Kobe Bryant, Aub was a defensive force in his second SBL triumph.

Drake brings out his Kobe Bryant

After winning the SBL league last year, Drake came back to defend the throne. He wasn’t at his offensive best. But he didn’t let his morale go down easy. Drake did his part for the team on the defensive end and made sure the OVA team won their second straight title. After the emphatic win, a charged-up Drake said he pulled off Kobe Bryant.

He said: “I did what Kobe did in Game 7 against the Celtics. Shots not falling, you play f*****g defense.”

In the Game 7 of the 2010 NBA finals, Bryant went up against arch-rival Boston Celtics. After a hard series, all eyes were on Kobe to deliver. However, scoring 23 points, Bryant shot just 25% for the night. However, his defense was critical in the win over the Lakers’ arch-nemesis. Defending the toughest such as Pierce, Bryant put them on lockdown. Winning his fifth title, it has his no.24 reign, all the more sweet.

Capturing his fifth title in a tough Finals series, Bryant won his second Finals MVP trophy. Only one chip shy of his idol, Michael Jordan, Bryant, retired as the third-highest scorer in NBA history.

The late great left a legacy behind that will always stay with the game of basketball. Because Kobe was the definition of doing whatever it takes. Whether it is fighting through pain or adjusting his game on the night, the Lakers great, did it all.
