Amid 196 Days NBA Absence, $50 Million Rich Star Teams Up With Kevin Durant and His Suns Teammate for Spreading “Love”
As Thanksgiving quickly approaches, the NBA community is gearing up to give back. Amidst the highs and lows of the game comes the time to spread love. In this case time, it’s a 2-time All-Star who is in recovery, joining Kevin Durant and Co to feed the ones in need. Though the shooting guard himself has been out with an injury for over 6 months, he is in full charitable form the upcoming holiday season.
Victor Oladipo has joined forces with the Suns’ star players to organize a charitable event in an attempt to give back to the communities.
Oladipo is Returning for Thanksgiving Charity Event

In a recent Instagram story, Victor Oladipo shared the news of teaming up with the 2-time NBA Champion, Kevin Durant and his teammate and Steph Curry’s brother-in-law, Damion Lee for a special Thanksgiving effort.

The star with an estimated net worth of $50 million reposted the post of his Charity Foundation asking his followers to join the players to “spread love during this season of giving.”

Oladipo, Durant and Lee are set to come together on November 18th to feed their communities for the Thanksgiving holiday. Over 800 families will be served meals through this charity event. This comes amidst Victor Oladipo’s extended absence from the court.
The 2018 Most Improved Player has faced a rocky trajectory since achieving great personal success in Indiana. Plagued with injuries, Oladipo has been missing from action since April, 2023.
Victor Oladipo’s Road to Recovery
The now Houston Rockets‘ shooting guard injured his knee during Game 3 of the Heat vs Bucks back in April this year. The player was taken off the court after slipping on the floor while going for the hoop.

This injury led to another major surgery for the player, this time in his left knee. The player had ruptured the quad tendon in his right leg in 2019 for which he had already gone through two surgeries. Since his most recent injury, the player has been in recovery and there is no update on his return as of now.

Victor Oladipo has been through multiple injury issues for a few years now and this hasn’t done any good to the already troubled star. Since this injury, Victor was traded by the Heat to the Thunder in July and then again to the Rockets in October.

Though the 31-year-old has lost some of his bounce, he still has the skills to be a solid contributor in the league. Fans will certainly be hoping to see him back in action soon.
