In 2008, the Chicago Bulls drafted Derrick Rose as the No.1 pick. The selection of the high-flying, athletic point guard left the Bulls fans ecstatic. The franchise had finally found a young superstar to lead the team after years of poor results. And when D-Rose stepped on the court, he exceeded all the expectations. On the 7th of September, the 34-year-old point guard tied the knot with his longtime partner, Aliana Anderson. The couple have two kids together, daughter Layla (5) and a son named London (4). Rose’s longtime friend and teammate, Joakim Noah officiated the wedding.
In a heartfelt note to his new wife, Rose wrote, “Right when we met I saw the real you right from the jump. I felt your soul. I felt that you were looking for love and I was looking for the same but we both didn’t know it would be an unconditional love. Being misunderstood is something we dealt with our WHOLE lives and it’s not going to stop when you’re creating your own reality. And it’s risible sometimes but that’s something we learned not to care about and we know that people really just don’t know US. I’m done believing in believing lol becuz I-know. I KNOW becuz the divine sent you to me.”
