An incident haunts Stephen Curry’s former teammate

For years, the trio of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green has dominated the league. While Curry and Thompson provide the shooting flavor, Green does the dirty job and gets in the face of others.

However, things went too far when he punched his own teammate Jordan Poole back in October during training camp. He apologized, but for Poole, this wasn’t enough.

During the current offseason, the Warriors opted to keep their defensive veteran over Poole and shipped him to the Washington Wizards. Curry gave an emotional farewell to his former teammate and was happy that his old backcourt mate was going on a new journey. Poole also said that he can call and text Curry and Klay anytime.

But when Green was mentioned during the official presser with his new team, Washington Wizards, he looked perturbed. A reporter asked him, ”Have you heard from Draymond?

When the media personnel asked this question, he pressed his teeth against his lips and appeared uncomfortable. He didn’t address the question and moved on from it quickly. It is clear the painful memory of getting punched hasn’t subsided.

Now, the Guard is a part of Wizards and can form an exciting duo with Kyle Kuzma. This fresh start is a great way to bury the past ghosts, but then the media and fans don’t let certain narratives die.
