In 2026, the New York Knicks were at an all-time high, sweeping the Philadelphia 76ers 4-0 before winning the whole thing. But now that Jaylen Brown and LeBron James have arrived, things could get a little complicated for their Eastern Conference Rivals. This week, star Guard Josh Hart shed light on what that means.

“It fits him very well in terms of his style of play and those kind of things,” Hart said as per a Yahoo Sports X clip posted. “Obviously it’s a good city. So it fits well, and obviously that adds another piece that we got a game plan for.”

Over the years, Hart himself has enjoyed a dominant 16-10 record against the 76ers, with 21 of those games playing in a Knicks jersey. For years, he’s been used to having a plan for the Philadelphia players, but things have now changed.

“Already having a game plan for Jaylen Brown, two newcomers obviously, and then we’ve been game planning for Tyrese and Joel for the last couple years,” he added in his conversation with Yahoo Sports Daily. “We’ve had to play them in the playoffs, so it adds more complexity.”

The new starting five will certainly be an interesting one in Philadelphia. The fit may look crowded on paper, but Jaylen Brown’s willingness to share the spotlight could be the key.

With Brown, LeBron, Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid all accustomed to heavy usage, the real test will be sacrificing touches without sacrificing impact.

Brown could also benefit defensively. A lighter offensive load would give him more room to spend his energy chasing elite wings, with rookie V.J. Edgecombe adding another defensive weapon around him.

For a team that hasn’t reached the conference finals since 2000-01, these arrivals bring hope to the city. In LeBron James, the team adds a four-time NBA Champion to their ranks.

The Sixers made their championship intentions clear in July. Jaylen Brown arrived first, bringing a $285 million supermax and elite two-way firepower after Philadelphia sent out Paul George and significant draft capital.

Soon, LeBron James followed in free agency, taking a massive pay cut to join Brown and Joel Embiid. Suddenly, Philadelphia had built its championship push around a brand-new superstar partnership.

Since 2017, the 76ers have been fairly consistent as well, only missing out on the playoffs the year before last. Though James isn’t the player he once was, he could certainly help bring an elite mentality with his ball knowledge and prowess to influence games.

A glimpse of Philadelphia’s new-look superteam surfaced this week in a workout video, resulting in various reactions. An 81-second workout video showing LeBron James, Jaylen Brown and Tyrese Maxey training together in Los Angeles has been making the rounds online.

Released by NBA trainer Chris Johnson Hoops, the clip captured the new Sixers trio going through game-speed drills, including pick-and-rolls, pick-and-pops, transition work and even a Brown-to-LeBron lob.

Reacting to this, Beverley couldn’t help but predict a dominant season ahead for Philadelphia.

“It’s trouble man… belt. Philadelphia belt. They look so nice,” Beverley said as per the X clip posted.

Jaylen Brown’s arrival changed the equation in Philadelphia. LeBron James reportedly didn’t seriously consider the Sixers until the blockbuster move landed Brown, a sign that the roster had suddenly become championship-ready.

Now, that decision has turned the Sixers into another major threat in the East. With Brown, LeBron, Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey together, the defending champion Knicks have one more massive thorn standing between them and another title.
