Victor Wembanyama Debut Ticket Prices Skyrocket!

Since being draft No. 1 overall, Victor Wembanyama is going to play for the first time on Friday. His Summer League debut is getting all the traction from fans willing to spend as much as $850!

Yes, you read that right!

According to a post by Joe Pompliano, ticket prices on StubHub are going for $850 each.

This is almost thrice the price for the same seats as per Joe’s observation. The same seat’s price is 1/3 less for the subsequent day when Wemby isn’t playing.

The San Antonio Spurs drafted the French Star as the #1 overall pick. Victor Wemby, standing at a towering height of 7’5 as per ESPN, is earning $55 million. This is the most any rookie is making this year.

While it wasn’t clear if Victor was playing in the Summer League initially, he’s said to have been packed for the entire summer. That being said, fans are excited to see Victor dunking and dribbling for the first time!

In his first Summer League match, Wemby and Spurs are set to play against Charlotte Hornets, with #2 pick, Brandon Miller. He’s also likely to play on Sunday against team Portland, with #3 pick, Scoot Henderson.

Stating his excitement, Victor says, ?It?s going to be intense. I can?t wait to wear that Spurs jersey for a first time.?

While looking forward to his debut, controversies don’t seem to leave his side. The young French basketballer was involved in a controversy with Britney Spears last evening. Apparently, Britney wanted to meet Wemby, and tapped on his shoulder. His security team allegedly slapped her as she approached the NBA star. This all happened outside a famous Las Vegas restaurant.
