The golf course is gearing up to welcome a future superstar. California native Rose Zhang has taken the golfing world by storm. She began her dominant reign in the sport by winning back-to-back NCAA Division I Championships. Since then, the media has bombarded the 20-year-old sensation. Moreover, several of the biggest athletes have congratulated the Stanford University standout. Surprisingly enough, when asked which name left her speechless, it wasn’t Tiger Woods, one of the most influential and legendary names in golf. In fact, it was an NBA superstar – Stephen Curry, that had Zhang just staring at her mobile screen.

Rose Zhang was in shock after Stephen Curry posted a story for her

Numerous NBA stars have a passion for golf. Stephen Curry is arguably one of the most avid lovers of swinging the club in the league. He often spends his summers in polo and trousers, working on his golf game. The two-time NBA MVP has also participated in the Ryder Cup on multiple occasions, battling it out with fellow athletes.

Three-time US Open champion Tiger Woods also hailed Zhang. He wrote, “Incredible few weeks for Rose Zhang, defends her NCAA title and then wins in her Pro debut. Go card!”.

Yet, she wasn’t stunned by her peer’s incredible praise, it was Curry’s gesture. Amid her media popularity, Zhang revealed she was startled to see her “sport role model” post about her. Her friends went wild as her messages flooded like a pond. During her interview for KPMG, Rose Zhang said –

I couldn’t really talk. I was just like, oh, wow. Like I had to look at it, I had to look at the story for a couple seconds before I actually gathered my thoughts, and then usually it would also be my other friends texting me that someone notable sent like a story with me, so I was just reading the texts before I actually saw the stories.”
