It is quite unfair to discuss golf without mentioning one of the greatest players of all time, Tiger Woods. Woods and Curry have been discussed about countless times, as athletes that arguably changed their sports. But one debate is, who has the greatest social impact?

Curry is also considered to be one of the best golfers in the NBA.

Woods and Curry’s contributions to their respective sports are perhaps unmatchable. The legends of their games have created legacies that will keep on inspiring upcoming generations. As the world knows, Tiger Woods is a Los Angeles Lakers fan. Notably, Curry credits Woods for giving him “the biggest pep talk of all time” in 2015.

One frequent topic of discussion surrounding these two greats is who has the biggest societal influence. Curry or Woods? In a recent discussion on ESPN, renowned NBA analyst Stephen A. Smith shared his views. He opened up by saying: “Steph is special, he is sensational and the greatest shooter that has ever lived.” He further added, “you can’t tell a kid if he go to the park enough, he can’t be that.”

According to him, the world sees Curry as a bigger influencer than Woods. He also added that what Curry has is a gift. But that kids see him and say they can be that too. “When you’re young and dumb, you don’t know,” Smith said. He added that because more people view the achievements of Curry as attainable, he has had a bigger social impact than Tiger Woods.

Smith added that kids today can say, ‘I can go out in any park in America all it needs to have a rim and practice enough and I can do what Steph Curry can do.’ That is why Smith believes Stephen Curry is better than Tiger Woods in terms of social impact.
