This week, NCAA Women’s basketball’s South Carolina beat Howard in a blowout 79-21 game. The first half of the game stood out, with Howard scoring only 4 points against South Carolina’s 44. Unfortunately for LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers, fans ended up connecting Howard’s loss to the Lakers performing this season.

The Lakers have been struggling this entire season, and have not been able to gain any momentum despite James’ high average.

Despite the inconsistency and lack of momentum, the loyal Lakers fan remains hopeful of improvement. James finished the 128-123 encounter with 36 points, making it yet another high-scoring game for him.

Coming back after three straight losses, this win is bound to provide a boost. Furthermore, the Lakers are ninth in the Western Conference. This only confirms their spot for the play-in tournament and not the playoffs. Observing their current wins and losses, James and the Lakers need to gain momentum if they want a proper playoff run.
