LeBron James Joins Thousands in Awe of National Hero Trea Turner as America Makes Iconic Comeback

The Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is still out with an injury and is not expected to come back anytime soon. As the Lakers try to rally themselves into a playoff position, ‘King James’ has something to celebrate with the entire nation. Though it must be tough to see his teammates competing without him, he still had something to be joyous about as he went to Instagram to share his excitement.

Apart from his Lakers’ teammate Austin Reaves going off against the Orlando Magic in their most recent matchup, James was ecstatic after witnessing Philadelphia Phillies star Trea Turner will the US over Venezuela in the quarter-finals of the World Baseball Classic.

LeBron James rejoiced in Team USA’s win

Team USA faced off against Team Venezuela in the 2023 World Baseball Classic tournament on March 18. The game was quite close, as fans were at the edge of their seats throughout the innings.

During the eighth inning, Trea Turner, the Phillies shortstop, managed to hit a grand slam that sealed the fate of the game. The home run hit by Turner sent Team USA to the World Baseball Cup semifinals.

LBJ couldn’t help but join the nation in celebrating this nail-biting victory over Venezuela. He shared a post uploaded by ‘Bleacher Report’ on his Instagram stories. James captioned it with, “Wow!! Yessir Trea,” followed by a couple of fire emojis. 

Even fans were absolutely in love with Turner’s performance as one fan dropped a comment saying, “Look around. Look at the joy. Look at how United everyone is on that team and in the stands. Because together, this country will never be stopped! I fu$@in LOVE ususususus Baseball is the best at these moments. Hands down!”

While another fan commented, “Trea one of the best hitters in the game mr get on base.”

Turner changed the fate of the game. However, he wasn’t done there as Turner turned up the heat in the semi-finals against Team Cuba as well.

This was the third home run he had in 24 hours, making it all the more impressive to fans.

Trea Turner helped Team USA over the hump

The game between Team USA and Team Venezuela surely was a thriller for everyone. After blowing a three-run lead in the fifth innings, Team USA started the eighth innings with a disadvantage of 7-5 along with six outs, barely escaping elimination.

Despite going 0-2 against Turner, the Phillies shortstop quickly turned things around with a Grand Slam. As Team USA rallied back for a 9-7 win over Team Venezuela.

If that wasn’t enough, Turner continued his excellent performance in the next game against Team Cuba as well. Team USA won that game 14-2 despite Cuba taking a 1-0 lead in the first innings. Yet that did not discourage Turner as he hit a pair of home runs for a comfortable win over Cuba.

Now Team USA will either face Japan or Mexico in the finals. If Team USA wins in the final, it will make them just the second two-time winner of the World Baseball Classic tournament.
