Following the recently held 2023 NFL Draft, Jordan’s NASCAR racing team ecstatically shared the big news and welcomed a new addition to their expanding family.

Following a series of successful business investments, Michael Jordan is included in the top ten list of richest athletes in the world. With a net worth of $2 billion, MJ is the only other billionaire NBA athlete other than LeBron James who is currently worth $1 billion.

NFL star joins Michael Jordan’s family

The top prospect of the 2023 NFL Draft Bryce Young was selected by the Carolina Panthers as the first pick on Thursday. Ahead of that, Michael Jordan’s Air Jordan brand announced its latest endorsement deal with the 21-year-old quarterback. MJ’s $4.8 billion worth shoe brand signed Young and welcomed him to the Jordan Brand family.

His Airness‘ NASCAR team 23XI racing shared the news on their official Instagram page. The caption read, “Welcome to the Queen city and?@jumpman23?family?@bryceyoung. Looking forward to you rooting for the Jumpman on the track soon!”

Co-founded by the six-time NBA champion and Denny Hamlin, Jordan’s racing team currently includes Bubba Wallace, Tyler Reddick, Travis Pastrana, and Kurt Busch. Busch is also the brand ambassador of Jordan alongside Denny Hamlin. As MJ’s portfolio keeps expanding, his stake in the Hornets might get sold soon.
