LeBron James starred on the big screen with his film, Space Jam: A New Legacy. The movie was a reboot of Michael Jordan’s 1996 film and was meant to bring forth the same vibe again. However, as per fans and the Razzie Awards, the film failed to hit the mark.

Fans react to LeBron James winning the worst actor award

Looking at reactions online, fans did not hold back while sharing their opinions. Many had already shared their views about the movie itself and commented on LeBron as an actor this time. Apparently, for a few fans, James is a bad actor on the court and off the court as well.

Interestingly, a few people were not aware of the Razzie awards and could not understand why James won it. Many added that while they knew the movie was not nice, they still ended up liking it. Some compared James to Jordan, bringing forth the never-ending James-Jordan debate.

For fans of the original movie (and Chicago Bulls legend), James can never be better than Jordan.

Certain fans spoke about sequels or reboots in general, and how they were not surprised by the end product.

What other award did James and the movie win?

At the 42nd edition of the award show, James won the Worst Actor for his movie. This was his first big role, with other actors and athletes like Don Cheadle, Anthony Davis, and Sue Bird present.

However, James was not the only one to win. The movie won the Worst Remake, Rip-Off, or Sequel award. Additionally, the combination of James and Looney Tunes won the Worst Screen Couple award.
