In the second week of January, Giannis Antetokounmpo missed a bunch of games because of a lingering knee issue. Despite his injury, the two-time MVP looked in high spirits as he showed up to some games and cheered for his team, the Milwaukee Bucks. Giannis’ proved to be a perfect leader as he chipped in the team huddle and voiced his support rather loudly. He seemed to be unfazed by his hiatus from dribbling and creating magic on the court. Giannis’ positive mood continued off the court as he showered his long-time girlfriend with words of endearment on her Instagram post.

On 13th January, the mother of his children, Mariah Riddlesprigger, posted a picture dump on her Instagram handle. In the picture, she wore a hazel-green dress and paired it with a matching bag and pastel heels. Mariah stood in front of a flower arch and smiled from ear to ear with her hair down. She captioned the post, “Dear self, don’t ever let anyone dim your light.” Giannis was left floored by the post. He flooded the comments section with emojis and wrote, “You are beautiful.” Following this interaction, Mariah was spotted working hard.
