13 Years After Ending Marriage With Shaquille O’Neal, Ex-Wife Shaunie Playfully Admits 2nd Husband Tried to “Lure” Her Into His Room

The NBA world is well in touch with Shaquille O’Neal and his ex-wife Shaunie’s relationship timeline. The pair were married for nine years while becoming parents to four children. The two, however, went their separate ways in 2011, ending what many seem to call a tumultuous relationship. Years later, the ex-couple have moved on but have continued to co-parent and remain friends. In 2022, Shaunie took to Instagram and announced that she had tied the knot with Pastor Keion Henderson. Months after their wedding, the two are opening up about the course of their relationship. 

Shaunie Henderson posted a snippet from her new podcast with her husband, Keion Henderson. The Growzone Podcast is set to premiere on 2nd February and will be hosted by the Hendersons. From the clips posted online, speculation points have sparked discussions about the duo’s first date and their relationship.

Shaunie and Keion had different perspectives when it came to their first date. She stated that their first date was “impromptu” and Keion invited her to his hotel. She perceived this as an attempt to “lure” her into his bedroom.

Keion denied the same and narrated that they spent the entire night at a restaurant and the lobby. When it was time to leave, according to Shaunie, Keion begged her to stay. But the Pastor had a different version of the story in mind. He stated that Shaunie put up a tantrum forcing him to stay as long as he could. Keion claimed that he had a flight to catch early in the morning and Shaunie asked him to sleep in the plane instead.  

As he continued to reveal his side of the story, Shaunie said, “I just have a problem with you being a liar.” Keion added that things got a little exciting when supposedly Shaunie kept looking and staring at him. However, they just spent the rest of the night talking in the lobby. 

He also revealed that when he dropped her off to her car, the two shared a side hug and didn’t share a kiss on their first date. Keion said, “I only went as far as a gentlemen goes.” Shaunie claimed that the side hug was very disappointing. The two continued to bicker about whose version was true. 

Fans will now have to wait for the release of the entire episode to know where the discussion ends and whose side of the story is true. It will also be interesting to see if they discuss Shaq on their podcast.
