The game 4 against the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday afternoon was not a great experience for Chris Paul. Besides the foul trouble that occurred, there was another incident that caused a strong reaction from Paul. Other basketball players also voiced their opinions on the matter. In that regard, Shaquille O’Neal is among them.
This incident occurred after Dallas won 111-101 in the Eastern Conference Semifinals at the American Airlines Center. ESPN reports that Mavericks fans “put hands on” Paul’s mother. In addition to that, his wife was also pushed in front of their children.

In their statement, the Mavericks mentioned that they are “aware of an incident between a fan and the family of Chris Paul. It was unacceptable behavior and will not be tolerated. The Mavericks, along with American Airlines Center, swiftly removed the fan from today’s game.”
There are strict rules in place if anyone on the courtside disturbs or abuses any players. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to be working as the NBA seems to have difficulty getting rid of it. While it was one of the worst games in the playoffs for Paul, it was also the worst day for his family because of the incident.
What Shaquille O’Neal has to say about Chris Paul’s family incident
