Pacer’s rookie Bennedict Mathurin, who naturally gained attention for his LeBron remarks, was asked about it by Andre Iguodala and Evan Turner.

Mathurin finally gave a clarification to them, saying, ?I’m a rookie coming to the league. I don’t wanna say anybody’s greater than me. So it was just me in a way of saying that I want to go out there and play against one of the greatest, or the greatest of all time. I?m not scared from anybody, I just wanna go out there and see how great he is for myself. So it was nothing personal.?

Andre Iguodala and Evan Turner, while lauding him, mentioned that this really shows great composure and confidence from the rookie and is the way to go forward.

He also said that he’s now experienced how media can create their own versions of a story. Well, this isn’t the first time that this has happened to a rookie and definitely wouldn’t be the last one either. Nevertheless, it was a good experience for the rookie.
