The youngster talks about the spat with LeBron James

Talking on the popular Chris Haynes podcast, Desmond Bane of the Memphis Grizzlies opened up about his incident with LeBron.

Talking us through the incident, Bane said, ” Early in the game, he was walking up all next to me, and then he pushed me. I turned around and I was like, we ain’t gonna do that. Let’s play ball.”

He adds, “I hit a three in the second half, he came behind me with the big old feet he got. I’m like, them footsteps ain’t scaring nothing.”

Bane’s words give us an idea of how he doesn’t let trash talk get into his mind. Even if it is someone as legendary as LeBron James.

Desmond Bane this season

Desmond Bane and Ja Morant have been pivotal for their team this season. The Memphis Grizzlies are in 3rd place currently in the Western Conference. With a playoff spot looking comfortable, Ja Morant and co are looking towards the NBA title.

Bane averages 17.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists this season. Apart from the altercation with LeBron James, Bane dropped 23 points in 26 minutes.

James praises Ja Morant

During the match against the Los Angeles Lakers, Morant pulled off a crazy block. By now everyone in the league is aware of the athleticism Ja Morant possesses. He gave us a glimpse of his prowess, which left LeBron speechless.

After committing a turnover, Morant chased down Avery Bradley which ended in Morant having one of the blocks of the season. Take a look.

During the post-game interview, LeBron James was all praises for the insane block. He said, “It starts with timing. And stalking your prey. That’s exactly what Ja was doing that whole play … Didn’t know he was going to do it in that fashion. But, they got rockets in his calf muscles. It was just a spectacular play.”
