The 2022-23 NBA season is now close and there are some mouth-watering fixtures already decided. The Lakers take on the Golden State Warriors in the first match of the season and the Warriors take on the Grizzlies on Christmas Day. Despite their rivalry on the court, it is interesting to see the two superstars share a good relationship outside the game of basketball.

The match went to the Warriors who beat the Grizzlies 4-2. Although Ja Morant was phenomenal in the series, it was not enough to beat the collective brilliance of the Warriors.

Morant averaged 38.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 8.3 assists. On the other hand, Draymond Green averaged 6.3 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 6.0 assists.

Interestingly enough, it is not the first time Ja Morant has trashed talked with an NBA superstar. He once made headlines around the world when he made claims of beating prime Michael Jordan. “I would’ve cooked him too“, said the Grizzlies star when asked about playing in MJ’s era.
