The NBA trade deadline is right around the corner and this spells trouble for teams who are yet to make their desired signings. The Los Angeles Lakers have been linked to numerous big names during the trade season but none of them have materialized into an actual trade. LeBron James and the whole Lakers fanbase were speculating on the team to sign Kyrie Irving. However, he ended up joining the Dallas Mavericks instead which has naturally frustrated the fans.

A potential LeBron James and Kyrie Irving reunion slipped out of the Lakers’ hands. Irving sent the basketball world into a frenzy by officially requesting a trade just days before the trade deadline. Reports suggested that the player and the management had differences over contract issues which eventually led to Kyrie’s trade.

He ended up joining the Dallas Mavericks and Luka Doncic despite the majority of rumors linking him to the Lakers. Although they have missed out on Irving, the odds are favorable for the Lakers to land a big name.

He said, “I can’t sit here and say I’m not disappointed on not being able to land such a talent.” This is not the first time James has lashed out at the Lakers’ front office for not making the right trades.

During an interview with The Athletic, James said “Y’all know what the f*** should be happening” while talking about the roster. Moreover, last year he let the management know that he isn’t interested in playing meaningless basketball anymore. With the Lakers failing to land Irving, James’ disappointment with the team will just keep on increasing.
