Last year in the Olympics, Kevin Durant and Team USA won the gold medal despite having some heavy doubts. After winning the gold medal, Durant made a bold statement that an Australian player would cause Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics problems. And now that same player is now leaving the Brooklyn Nets.
Patty Mills is an Australian-born NBA player who has played in the league for 13 seasons. He is also a former NBA champion with the San Antonio Spurs. Mills has played the majority of his career off the bench and he has been solid through the years. He is a great spot-up three-point shooter, and he has shot over 38% from beyond the arc throughout his career.

This will be a huge blow for the Nets, as Mills is one of their best shooters. The Nets are already nearing their cap space and will have to shell out top dollar to get back Mills. Every team could likely use a shooter like Mills and he will surely get offers from around the league. It will be interesting to see if the Nets bring back the player who was supposed to give the Celtics trouble or let him walk for free to another team.
