The NBA Summer League gathered audiences from all over the world and treated them to some quality basketball. The audience got a taste of all the future prospects who will dominate the league in a few years’ time. Scottie Pippen Jr. is one such talent who got noticed by LeBron James recently.

James took to Twitter to heap massive praise on the son of former Chicago Bulls legend, Scottie Pippen. James wrote, “The kid has a bright future!!”

Pippen Jr. is one of the brightest stars in the Summer League this season. Moreover, he plays for the Los Angeles Lakers, and praises from the Lakers’ main man will surely boost his confidence.

How have the Lakers performed during the Summer League?

The Los Angeles Lakers had some of the most exciting players play for them in the Summer League. Names like Shareef O’Neal and Scottie Pippen Jr. have fans intrigued as to how the sons of the NBA legends play.

Although the Lakers failed to win the top prize, there is a lot of promise. Pippen Jr. has certainly been one of the best players for his team during the tournament.

The NBA 2K23 Summer League was won by the Portland Trail Blazers as they got the better of the New York Knicks 85-77 during the final game.

LeBron James will look to continue his good form

Despite the Lakers not having the best of seasons during the 2021-22 play season, LeBron James continued to do wonders. The NBA veteran was at his usual best as he dropped phenomenal performances.

James averaged 30.3 points, 6.2 assists, and 8.2 rebounds during the season. One of his biggest achievements was passing Karl Malone on the list of all-time top scorers in the league.

LeBron sits at number 2 only behind Lakers legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. He currently has 37,062 points to his name while Kareem leads the list with 38,387. (Source: NBA.com)
