The Big Diesel shared how he generally responds to compliments, especially from women, in the most recent episode of his podcast. In fact, Shaquille O’Neal displayed the flawless nature of his confidence in himself that allows him to be unfazed by compliments from the fair sex.

Shaq’s former Orlando Magic teammate and old friend, Dennis Scott, showed up on The Big Podcast to talk basketball and the memories of the good old days. The conversation veered from the current state of the NBA to Father’s day. Afterward, Shaq revealed why he doesn’t celebrate father’s day and is indifferent to compliments from women.

After the conversation turned to father’s day, Shaq explained why he doesn’t like to celebrate the occasion. As a matter of fact, he thinks that every day is Father’s day for a man. In other words, a man has to provide for and protect his family every single day.

Therefore, he should be appreciated every day. Meanwhile, co-host Nischelle Turner asked him whether he likes to receive compliments for being a good dad on a daily basis. Shaq said that he doesn’t desire compliments for doing something he’s supposed to do.

In fact, the Lakers legend further revealed that when women call him ‘sexy’, he replies, “I know.” Scott and Turner both seemed surprised by the 7’1′ giant’s confidence. Afterwards, they both burst out in laughter.

But Shaq went on. The six-time NBA champion said that women often say to him that he’s good looking for his age. “I’m supposed to be fine, thank you“, is what Shaq generally replies.

Later on, Nischelle started taunting Shaq for dying his beard black. In response, Shaq completely denied dying his beard. Moreover, he explained that he has Benjamin Button Disease (BBD). The patients of this disease age backward, like in the movie The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button.

However, Shaq emphasized the importance of being a good father for your child. He explained that he doesn’t expect any father’s day gifts because he’s just doing his duty.

As a matter of fact, he’s supposed to be a good father. Every father should do the same.
