Shaquille O’Neal was one of the largest players in the NBA during his time. Even now, he has the size of a giant with a height of over 7 feet and a weight of over 324 lbs. But, with increasing age and him working out lesser, he found himself developing some health issues. In fact, Shaquille O’Neal was advised by his doctor to lose a considerable amount of weight if he wanted to stay healthy.

Or else, he would be prone to diseases and falling ill. He was also told that if he doesn’t reduce his weight, his chances to suffering any kind of fatal health issues would increase significantly. Shaquille O’Neal shares his workout pattern

Shaquille O’Neal, who is 50 right now, spoke about his workout pattern on GQ. He called it a “old man workout” when asked about it. In fact, the four-time NBA champion said that he does only 30-40 mins of cardio followed by chest, arms, biceps and triceps workouts.

He even said, “I can’t do all that CrossFit stuff.” This must hit pretty hard on Shaq, considering he was very fit at one point in his life.

As a matter of fact, Shaq had such a low body weight that he even surprised the famous ex-bodybuilder Arnold Schwarzenegger. Coming into the NBA, Shaq was very fit. In fact, he was well-known for breaking backboards even before entering the league. The sheer strength and power made him different from everyone else.

Shaq gets a disorder?

Talking about his extra pounds on his body weight, Shaq also spoke about the disorder that he had developed because of it. He hilariously mentioned about the extra belly fat that he had developed and how he felt that it was a grave disorder. He named it CBOTBD. The abbreviation stands for Charles Barkley Over The Belt Disorder, which meant that his belly fat was going above his belt, which was a problem.
