5X NBA Champion Dennis Rodman Got Fired on Camera by Donald Trump in 2013 Only Due to a Spelling Mistake

Chicago Bulls legend Dennis Rodman has been quite active even after his retirement. In fact, Rodman once appeared on the television show, ‘The Apprentice’, where he was fired from it by none other than the ex-President of the United States, Donald Trump. Just because of a spelling error.

The Apprentice is a show that ran for 15 seasons from 2004 to 2017. The show was hosted by Donald Trump for the first 14 seasons. The American reality television show used to judge a group of contestants on the basis of their business skills.

Donald Trump firing Dennis Rodman did not hamper their relationship

And NBA legend Dennis Rodman featured in season 13 of the show. Rodman, all dressed in black, wearing shades, with his numerous piercings, was fired by Donald Trump for spelling a name wrong on the show.

And the name was of none other than the former first lady of the United States, Melania Trump. While doing a presentation for Melania’s skin care products, she notices that her name is spelled wrong on the top.

As the show went on, contestants chattered about the error made while Trump confronted them. The title said, “Simply….Milania,” where in fact the name is spelled, Melania. And the ex-president did not seem happy with that error.

While the daughter of Donald Trump, Ivanka could go on and explain, her father cut her off. He said, “You know what? It doesn’t matter. Dennis Look, I can go into a long big thing, I can talk about they didn’t like the color, they didn’t like this, they didn’t like that.”

And that’s when Trump dropped the hammer. He stated, “The fact is you spelled her name wrong so Dennis, you lost.” And Rodman’s first response was “Of course.” Being the project manager, it was Rodman’s head that got cut off.

Rodman could’ve used his Bulls teammates

Rodman tried to defend himself, telling the host Trump that it was not his fault. But Trump had already made a decision and was not going to change his mind. After hearing Rodman and his teammate’s justification, Trump said his signature phrase, “Dennis, you’re fired.”
