The antics of NBA legend Dennis Rodman did not sit well with many. One such individual was the legendary San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich. The coach was seen wearing a “VOTE” t-shirt on Monday. During his press interaction, he acknowledged the efforts of the league to increase voter turnout. He believed that it was a great decision by the league to not schedule any game on election day. He then went on to compare one of his players with his former star Rodman.

Popovich credited Jeremy Sochan for having quick feet. He said that he liked Sochan for his ability to defend and rebound. He added he had found the “lite” version of Dennis Rodman in Sochan.
Popovich chuckled and said, “Emphasize the lite.”

Gregg Popovich and Dennis Rodman cannot be slotted in the friendship category. Rodman played two seasons with the San Antonio Spurs. He recounted his time with the Spurs and the then general manager, Gregg Popovich in his memoir, “Bad as I wanna be”.

Dennis Rodman explained how he had several issues with Pop. According to Rodman, Pop tried to “tame” his personality. He wanted to change the player and rein him in.

Considering Dennis Rodman’s public life, his choices have always been far from subtle or in place. In short, Rodman is in no way, “lite”. He refused to be a diluted version of himself and continued to blaze his path.
Spurs forward Jeremy Sochan has been compared with Dennis Rodman, mainly for his looks. Sochan’s choice of hair color seems to be paying homage to the Hall of Famer. He admitted he had been a huge fan of the five-time champion.
