MJ came at a time when the game wasn’t as popular, and he took it globally using his almost godly-like display of skills and abilities.

LeBron James on the other hand is arguably the synonym of consistency, having played well over such a long period of time. He even adapts himself to the changes in the game as they come. The debate has always been the most bitter between these two legends with their fans almost always in conflict. However, a recent comment by another NBA legend may just turn the balance in one player’s favor.

Allen Iverson, the 2001 MVP just endorsed LeBron James as the best player of all time. This is a huge boost for LeBron James and his fans in the GOAT debate. Those in favor of the Akron Hammer know they now have a legitimate “great recognizes great” argument with AI calling LeBron James the GOAT.

The statement made by AI was – “As much as I love Michael Jordan. Man, LeBron James is the one, dawg.” This perhaps changes the dynamics of the GOAT debate altogether. A legend like Allen Iverson, who is an MVP himself, calling James the one is a huge deal for fans. And this is not the first time that AI has gotten the better of Michael Jordan. He literally put him on skates once, after AI’s famous crossover against MJ in 1997.
