“I don’t know about all that but, all I know is if you make all that money, don’t you think they will keep you? You know, that’s like having 400,000 in your bank, you bought 350,000 worth of Rolls Royce and you find out it was terrible. You crash it on purpose so you can get the insurance money back,” said Shaq.

Why did Shaquille O’Neal and Rudy Gobert take on each other?

Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal’s comments on the then Utah Jazz star Rudy Gobert made headlines all around the world. After clinching 5th seed in the Western Conference, Jazz faced the Dallas Mavericks in the first round of the playoffs. Despite looking good entering the series, the Mavs dominated and won 4-2.

This led to long discussions regarding the duo of Mitchell and Gobert. Talking on his podcast, Shaq asserted that although Rudy is great in defense, he offers nothing in the offense.

Spice Adams, O’Neal’s co-host, talked about how Rudy Gobert will hold the 4 time NBA champion to 12 points. Shaq said, “Twelve points? Yeah, in the first three minutes.” Things turned spicy when Rudy commented under a post and wrote, “I would lock his [Shaquille O’Neal] up.”
