It may sound petty.” Nischelle Turner mentioned that Rudy’s averaging 12 points a game. Shaq continued, “That’s my point. So KD, you’re absolutely right. We are mad because the way we played, we didn’t get that. You got these shooters shooting for 22 percent, make millions. D Scott shot damn near 45, 50 his whole career. Most he made was probably seven million dollars. So yeah we get mad. You goddamn right, we get mad. We get petty. And guess what? We have an opinion and our opinion counts. So I think sometimes when these guys respond, I think [they need to understand] it’s a little bit of truth in our criticism that’s all.”

This was all an aftermath of KD replying to Chuck. He said, “All this s**t is nasty, another terrible analogy from a hatin old head that can’t accept that we making more bread than them. It’s just timing Chucky, don’t hate the playa.”
Moreover, this was in reply to Chuck talking to ESPN’s Get Up segment. Charles Barkley gave examples of Kobe Bryant and LeBron James. He mentioned how Kobe said that he had to win a championship without Shaq and how LeBron James said that he had to win a championship without Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.

Chuck said that this is how it has always been. He said that KD is a great player but he won’t get the respect he deserves until he leads a team to a title. That’s how he will be considered one of the absolute greats. The game hasn’t changed. Kobe said it, LeBron said it, and so they are going to hold KD to the same high standard.
