Shaunie Henderson is happy that her ex-husband Shaquille O’Neal has admitted to the mistakes he made during their marriage, according to recent reports. Furthermore, she revealed that her current husband did something that her millionaire ex-husband had never done.

Shaq and Shaunie married in 2002 and had four children together before separating in 2011. Shaq, however, never proposed to Shaunie bending down on his knees before their marriage. According to Shaunie, she had never experienced a man bending down on one knee with his hand in the air holding a ring before.

But after that, she met Pastor Keion Henderson and things changed. In fact, Henderson proposed to Shaunie bending down on one knee. This gave her a brand new experience that she didn’t have in her previous marriage. After dating for two years the couple got engaged in November 2021. Subsequently, they got married on May 2022 at the Aurora Anguilla Resort and Golf Club in Anguilla.

Shaq had received an invitation to Shaunie’s wedding but decided not to attend. In fact, Keion Henderson and Shaq have never met in person. However, Shaq had congratulated Shaunie in his podcast following the wedding. The Big Diesel had also wished her the best in her new journey.

Shaquille O’Neal admits to being a d**khead

After a decade of their divorce, the Los Angeles Lakers legend took full accountability for his failed marriage with Shaunie. Recently, Shaq talked about the reason that ended their marriage. At one point he quoted himself as a “Serial cheater” because of several past incidents. Shaq openly admitted, “I was a d**khead. You don’t know how good you got something till it’s gone.”

Today Shaunie is happily married and Shaquille O’Neal is rumored to be dating actress Annie Ilonzeh. However, Shaunie and Shaq don’t have any hard feelings for each other and they are still in contact. One of the main reasons are their kids. The former couple maintain an amicable relationship and are great co-parents to their kids.
