Shaquille O’Neal and Shaunie Henderson ended their union after being together for nine years. They decided to tie the knot in 2002 but ultimately got a divorce in 2011. They share four children together but are now on different paths in life, with different partners. Recently, Shaunie admitted something O’Neal never did for her.

Currently, O’Neal is dating the ‘How I Met Your Mother’ fame Annie Ilonzeh. The two have been together for about a year. Shaunie on the other hand has moved a bit more forward with her romantic relationship.

Shaunie recently married Keion Henderson. The two got engaged in November 2021 after dating each other for two years. The couple then tied the knot on May 28, 2022.

Shaunie revealed Shaquille O’Neal never proposed on one knee

Shaquille O’Neal and Shaunie Henderson were together for quite a while. But there was something Shaunie had never got to experience while she was with her ex-husband in their nine-year union. Henderson told Page Six that O’Neal asked her to marry him but did not propose to her before they got married.

She never got to experience a man getting down on one knee and asking her to marry him. She said, “I got asked to be married, but I wasn’t proposed to. Like a man bending down on one knee with his hand in the air with a ring. I’ve never experienced that.”

Shaunie added Keion Henderson proposed to her. She is now happily married and moving on with her life. The couple made a generous donation to the island of Anguilla where Shaunie and Keion got married. Henderson revealed some interesting details leading up to the proposal during their appearance on ‘Daytime TV.’

The Big Aristotle has multiple times opened up about his marriage with Shaunie. He admitted that it was his fault that their marriage had to come to an end. O’Neal said, “I was a d–khead. You don’t know how good you got something till it’s gone.”

Shaq’s marriage with Shaunie ended because of adultery. He admitted that he did not honor the vows and commitments they had made before their marriage. However, Shaunie now is happy that her ex-husband can own up to his mistake and is moving on in life.
