Steve Kerr is one of Michael Jordan’s well-known teammates. He was a vital role player and is now the head coach of the Golden State Warriors. Younger fans know his name from his achievements with the Warriors. He has won three NBA titles with the Warriors. Kerr built Golden State’s dynasty with his own hands.

Older fans remember him for being someone who helped Jordan get his sixth title. Actor Samuel.L. Jackson remembers Kerr as someone who couldn’t shoot off the dribble. Hence, the actor heckled the current Warriors’ head for his inability to do so during a game against the Toronto Raptors in 1995.

Samuel L. Jackson recently was a guest on the “Jimmy Kimmel Live” show. During the show, he said, “I remember when I used to go to Chicago Bulls games when I was shooting Long Kiss Goodnight in Toronto…” Jackson continued, “…The coach of Golden State was playing then. I would tell whoever was guarding him to make him dribble because he couldn’t shoot off the dribble…”

He also said that Kerr would always turn back at Jackson and tell him that he can make a shot off the dribble. When Jackson asked him to prove it, Kerr made an attempt off the dribble and missed it. Host Jimmy Kimmel was impressed that Jackson used to heckle Steve Kerr during his prime.

Kerr won another title with the San Antonio Spurs in 2003. He learned a lot from coach Gregg Popovich and has now applied it to his team, the Golden State Warriors.
