LeBron James brought back Hollywood into basketball as the star of the Space Jam. Now, a bunch of other NBA players will also be making an appearance in a movie. Notably, players from the Philadelphia 76ers will take to the stage for Adam Sandler’s upcoming movie, Hustle.

The comedic genius is no new to basketball himself. He plays pickup games and even makes appearances at parks quite often. Likewise, his new movie revolves around the sport putting him in familiar territory. Filming is taking place all around Philadelphia.

LeBron James takes on production

It seems like basketball is all over Sandler’s new project ‘Hustle’. While NBA players will take on the screen, the ‘King’ has his part off the screen with his production SpringHill Entertainment being one of the producers.

LeBron James only got into production and Hollywood after moving to LA. He even produced his own film, Space Jam, and is now moving to the big stage with real actors. And who better than Adam Sandler as the lead star in a basketball movie?

James seems to be on the route to making a great transition into Hollywood as he keeps growing in the field. While he is taking productions, which NBA players will feature in the film itself? Philadelphia’s Seth Curry, Matisse Thybulle, Tobias Harris, and Maxey will make their way in the film. Moreover, even head coach Doc Rivers will have a gig in the movie.

With such a close connection to NBA players, it is sure to have some killer basketball action in the movie. But, what is the movie all about?

While Sandler knows what he is doing, this sure is a detour from his comedic genius. Sandler is probably the most famous comedic movie star and has many popular movies such as the Grown Ups in that category. However, this seems a little different.

‘Hustle’ revolves around a struggling basketball scout who discovers an overseas player. While Sandler takes the role of the scout, another NBA player, Juancho Hernangómez, will be the overseas player.
